Plan Forward does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or any information that identifies you as a person. It uses a small set of anonymous, technical signals to fix bugs and understand how features are used — nothing more.
When you first open the app, Firebase Authentication assigns your installation a random ID (example: "uid_a3f8b2…"). This ID is never linked to your name, email, or any personal information. It exists so crash reports and analytics events can be grouped by session rather than being completely anonymous noise.
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a report that includes the type of error, the line of code where it occurred, your device model, Android version, and the anonymous ID above. No task content, tag names, or personal data is included in crash reports.
Firebase Analytics records interactions such as: a task was created, a review was completed, the backup feature was used. Events include technical properties (e.g. whether a task had a due date) but never the actual content of your tasks, notes, or tags.
Firebase Performance monitors technical metrics like app startup time and how long a backup export takes. This helps us find slowdowns before they affect most users.
Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns your device a token so we can send announcements (app news, tips) to all users at once. This token is not linked to your identity and is never used for individual targeting.
We do not collect:
All tasks, lists, and settings are stored locally on your device using Android's built-in database. Nothing is sent to a cloud server unless you explicitly use the Backup feature, in which case the exported JSON file is saved wherever you choose (your device, Google Drive, etc.) — we never receive a copy.
Plan Forward uses the following Google Firebase services, each governed by Google's Privacy Policy:
No data is shared with any other third party.
Crash logs and analytics data are retained by Firebase according to Google's standard retention periods (typically 90 days for raw events).
To request deletion of your anonymous data:
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data (tasks, settings, backup files you saved to device storage) from your device.
Plan Forward is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us at catwavesolutions@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and notify users via an in-app announcement. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
